Teen NC Coastal Exploration

July 15-19, 2013 / ages 13-17

Guide-in-Training option available

Upon reaching NC’s amazing and diverse coastal region we will establish a base camp to explore it’s many facets. Students will experience paddling to secluded coastal islands, try their hand at surfing some of NC’s famous breaks, and hike through maritime forests.

· Kayak Polo & Tons of Kayak Games

· Kayak Navigation Skills & Tide Chart Reading

· Low Ropes/Team Building Activities

· Knot Tying

· Leave-No-Trace Ethics Education

· Journaling

Our Guiding Principals - Set in a supportive and nurturing environment, activities are designed to educate campers about various outdoor skills and/or ecology, as well as challenge them in an effort to foster confidence and personal growth. With trust and respect as corner stones of these sessions, we create a positive learning environment, enabling campers to gain a comfort and understanding of themselves, others, and the great outdoors.
