Guide-in-Training option available

Over this week long river experience campers will take progressive steps to learning whitewater kayak skills and safety.

The first 3 day-camp days will take place in the Raleigh, Durham Chapel Hill Area. Over this time students will be introduced to, and hone the wet-exit procedure, learn river reading and safety skills, and begin learning bracing & rolling skills through professional instruction, a variety of engaging kayak games, and short river trips.

For the 3-day overnight portion we will head to the mountains and set up a base camp, from which we will tackle some of the regions premier Class II and III whitewater rivers!  Rivers we paddle will be chosen based on  the progression of students skills to insure a fun, safe, and appropriate challenge for everyone involved.
