2008 Dates TBA "The most beautiful lake in the Southeast!"
There is no other place in the southeast quite like Lake Jocassee. Friday, participants can take there time and explore the surrounding areas numerous hiking trails, paddle just a bit on their own, take advantage of optional instruction from Frog Hollow staff, and/or take a boat out for a relaxing night paddle.
Saturday is the big paddling day. We take our lunch and other essentials then spend most of the day out on the water to discover some of the hidden waterfalls of Lake Jocassee. Once back at the villas, it's a great time to kick back and relax before a well deserved dinner!
Sunday, we're back out on the water for a half day exploration of the lake to paddle beneath "the Wall" or maybe scout out another waterfall. Occasionally, folks will opt out of this paddle to take a hike on their own to a waterfall or scenic vista on one of the many wonderful trails near by.
The trip includes kayaks, guides, optional instruction, overnight accommodations in villas optimally situated on the lakeshore, lake shuttle (if needed), most meals, tons of information about the lake and the surrounding area, and of course a really good time!
