Paddle numerous miles at a leisurely pace, wind through a maze of river, creeks, and sloughs, and visit unique platforms, created by the Roanoke River Partners, along the way. Evenings in the Roanoke Basin are usually accompanied by the mystical and sometimes haunting sounds of the critters who reside in this beautiful wilderness.
We can help you create an unforgettable experience in the wilds of the Roanoke! With the Self-Guided Trip Option we will make all overnight reservations, provide canoes or kayaks, arrange all trip logistics, orient you to the area and the route to your camping platform, and then meet you at the end of your trip to shuttle you back to your vehicle the next day. Or, you may prefer the Guided Trip Option, with this service we provide everything mentioned above, in addition to a friendly and knowledgeable guide for the entire trip, to offer paddling instruction, natural interpretation, and food for most meals. In many cases, we are able to provide transportation to the lower Roanoke area from the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area for any of these services.
