Tropical Depression Chantal hit our region with record breaking flooding, followed by weeks of water access closures due to safety and water quality (some are still closed). With the significant challenges so many faced following Chantal, we hesitated asking for help. Unfortunately, our loss of boats and equipment, and working to keep staff scheduled and paid during weeks of access closures and trip cancellations, the ripple effects of Chantal created an unprecedented negative impact and financial strain on us.

We hosted a successful Online Auction Fundraiser, and are so incredibly thankful to all of you who supported us by bidding on items and services! Because of you we are much closer to feeling free of the losses we experienced, but we’re still not out of the weeds yet…
