Tropical Depression Chantal hit our region with record breaking flooding, followed by weeks of water access closures due to safety and water quality (some are still closed). With the significant challenges so many faced following Chantal, we hesitated asking for help. Unfortunately, our loss of boats and equipment, and more importantly working to keep staff scheduled and paid during weeks of access closures and trip cancellations, the ripple effects of Chantal created an unprecedented negative impact and financial strain on us. At the suggestion of some of you, our amazing guests and students, we hosted an online auction.

We are so incredibly thankful to all of you who supported us and bid on items and services in the online auction! Because of you we are much closer to recouping much of the loss we experienced!

Currently with our auction and fundraising efforts we have raised $18,100 of our $25,000 goal!

These funds will be used to :

• Replace lost and damaged boats

• Replace lost and damaged paddles and seat backs

• Replace our West Point on the Outpost booth items

• Cover added expenses incurred while pivoting camp services

• Pay down a line of credit we opened to cover July Payroll for our amazing staff

• Keep operations moving and staff working through the end of the Summer and into Fall
